In keeping with the spirit of the Olympics and Paralympics, which ran from July 26th to September 8th, recruitment agency Stafforce hosted an Olympic-themed Campaign which was also part of a charity fundraising effort. As part of the initiative, Stafforce offered local businesses the opportunity to participate in a competition to win £1000 for a local charity of their choice. The competition challenged participants to answer a question, with those providing the correct answer entering a random draw.
The winning entrant was Paul Schofield from Stelrad securing a £1,000 donation for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Paul, Warehouse and Distribution Manager at Stelrad commented: “The Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is close to Stelrad’s heart and has been one of our employees chosen charities to support for many years now. They work tirelessly to assist, help, and support families through very difficult and challenging times in their lives. I’ve personally been for a visit of the Hospice following previous fundraising activities and I was blown away with this facility, the service they provide within the community is priceless and we are proud to be part of this donation.”
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is a registered charity offering palliative care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a shortened life expectancy and complex medical needs.
Julie Attwell, Operations Manager for our Lancashire Hub, Paul Brammer, Director from the Stafforce Wider Nicholas Associates Group, and Paul Schofield from Stelrad visited the hospice to present Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice with a £1000 cheque from Stafforce.
On behalf of Stafforce, Julie Attwell, Operations Manager, commented: “We are incredibly proud to have created an initiative that not only fostered a sense of fun and friendly competition within our team here at Stafforce but also provided a unique opportunity for local businesses to give back to their communities through a charity donation. Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is an incredible charity, and I’m delighted the money raised will go towards families who are in most need of support.”
Paul Brammer, Director from our Wider Nicholas Associates Group commented: “In today’s world, businesses have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in their communities beyond just delivering products and services. Nicholas Associates Group are committed to making meaningful differences in everything that we do and we feel that through collaborating with our clients with shared values to support charities such as Bluebell Wood is of the highest importance. Eleanor Hughes, Regional Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Stafforce for their fantastic fundraising and of course to Paul from Stelrad for choosing us to receive this generous donation. Their support will make a huge difference to the children we support and help us continue to be there for families when they need us.”
