Stelrad offers help with work experience

Stelrad Radiators has been proactive in the local community by offering work experience opportunities for young people looking to gain experience whilst at school or shortly after leaving. This has been offered in conjunction with a locally based organisation called Business and Education Together (B&E Together) based at Dearne Valley College.

We recently received a certificate from B&E Together thanking us for the support we have given over the past two years to young people seeking work experience in South Yorkshire. Project Office Manager Claire Buffey said: “B&E Together would like to say a huge thanks to Stelrad and your colleagues at the company for all the great support that you have provided to students on work experience. It is greatly appreciated.”

HR manager Debbie Ward said: “In 2024 we hosted two students from local schools – one from Barnsley College who was with us for a week and two further students attended a one-day work experience day here at Mexborough. This year we have also had students from Rawmarsh Community School and Saint Pius Catholic High School spending a week with us. Work experience offers students a fantastic chance to develop crucial life skills and gain insight into the world of work and often inspires them to engage more with their studies and future plans. By opening our doors, our team can serve as positive role models, strengthen connections with the local community and help nurture the next generation of skilled professionals.”
