Founder of leading bespoke lifestyle brand Bert & May – Lee Thornley – has recently completed a project in a 3-bedroom mid-century property in Yorkshire to create a modern 4-bedroom family home. The property sits within the Upper Poppleton Conservation Area to the north west of the city of York and Lee worked with RIBA award winning architects Mass Architecture from York to achieve a modern approach to refurbishing whilst working in harmony with the property’s original character.
Lee turned to Stelrad to provide a selection of radiators to provide heating around the home. Stelrad provided a selection of its quality radiators including Vita Plan verticals and traditional horizontal radiators, and two of its Concord towel radiators for the utility room and the master bedroom en-suite. Most of the radiators were white but the towel radiators were supplied in Silver Grey and Ultramarine Blue to match décor in the rooms where they were installed.
“We were delighted to be asked to collaborate with Lee and to supply our radiators for the project,” says Stelrad’s Head of Marketing Chris Harvey. “This project will allow us access to a wealth of consumer outlets that Bert & May target as their prime audience, through national magazines and significant online and social media activity. Being invited to work with individuals like Lee highlights the contribution our designer and decorative radiators can make to top notch architecturally designed projects, adding to the ambiance of these buildings and adding so much more than just a heating appliance to the mix.”
