Stelrad Elite Radiators UK - FAQs
How can you extend the life of an Elite Radiator?
Ensuring you keep your Stelrad Elite Radiator up-and-running as long as possible is one of our top priorities. Flushing the system once a year, or whenever you move it, will help maintain its life for longer. Also using a rust inhibitor in this process will help with this. Always do so in accordance with the British Standard Code of Practice BS 7593:2006 for the Treatment of Water in Domestic Hot Water Central Heating Systems. We do not recommend PFTE tape for the air vent or blanking plugs.
After flushing, the system should be treated with an inhibitor to ensure long term protection against corrosion and lime scale. It doesn’t take much, and if you take care of them, these Elite Radiators will take care of themselves for the most part.
