If you prefer a traditional or industrial aesthetic, our column radiators are an excellent option. Whatever your preference, we have a radiator that will suit your style and practical needs.

We also understand that choosing the right radiator size for your home can be challenging. That’s why we offer a radiator size search tool on our website. With this tool, you can easily find the perfect radiator size for your household, ensuring that you get the most efficient and cost-effective heating solution. You can use our heat loss BTU calculator to determine which of our models will best meet your needs if you are conscious of energy output and want to minimise heat loss in your home.

TIMELESS STELRAD RADIATORS

Stelrad classic style radiators are not only functional but also add a timeless and stylish element to any home. Whether you opt for single panel radiators or double panel radiators, you can be assured of excellent heat conductivity and efficiency, which will keep you and your family warm during the cold winter months.

What sets our classic bathroom radiators and other timeless radiators apart is the use of stainless steel, which contains compounds that prevent rusting, making them easier to maintain and longer lasting than those made with metallic compounds. Each classic mini radiator is painted with a high-quality finish in your preferred colour, meaning that these stainless steel radiators will be an incredible addition to your home. The same is true for our regular sized UK classic radiators.

At Stelrad, we understand that choosing the right radiator can be overwhelming, which is why we have a comprehensive FAQs page that answers the most commonly asked questions. CLASSIC RADIATOR FAQS

What’s the difference between a K1 radiator and a K2 radiator?

Open Close

If you’re in the market for a radiator and wondering what the difference is between K1 and K2 radiators, the main difference lies in their construction. K1 radiators have a single panel and a single convector, while K2 radiators have a double panel and double convector. The added layers of convector fins in K2 radiators provide a greater surface area for heat transfer, resulting in a higher heat output compared to K1 radiators.

However, it’s important to note that the choice between a K1 or K2 radiator depends on various factors such as the size of the room, the insulation of the house, and the desired level of heat output. If you have a smaller room or a well-insulated home, a K1 radiator may be sufficient to provide adequate heating. On the other hand, if you have a larger room or a home that is poorly insulated, a K2 radiator may be a more suitable choice.

We offer a range of K1 and K2 radiators to cater to your specific needs here at Stelrad. Shop today to find your preferred radiator.

What are convector fins?

Open Close

Convector fins play an essential role in the heating process of most radiator models, including Stelrad Classic Radiators. They are thin metal plates attached to the back of the radiator tubes, which increase the surface area of the radiator that is in contact with the surrounding air. This larger surface area results in a higher level of exchange efficiency, allowing for the heat to be transferred more efficiently from the radiator to the surrounding air.

When the hot coolant passes through the radiator tubes, the convector fins help to increase the contact surface area with the air, which in turn allows the heat to be dissipated more quickly. As the hot coolant is cooled down, it is then fed back into the radiator for another cycle, ensuring that your radiator is working at optimal levels of efficiency. They are essential in prolonging the life of your radiator.
