Leading radiator manufacturer Stelrad is supporting an up and coming young racing driver who is competing in the British Touring Car – Ginetta Junior Championships. James Taylor has so far taken part in the first four races of the season – racing for Richardson Racing – and won two of them – at Brands Hatch and Donnington Park. Not a bad way to start your career in motor sport!
The G40 Junior car is ideal for young drivers looking to graduate from karting into car racing. It has become one of the most well-known models on the British Touring Car Championship support bill. Stelrad has its logo on either side of the front bumper on James car for two of the planned races. He was introduced to the company by Stelrad employee.
The rest of the season sees James racing at Thruxton in May, Croft and Oulton Park at either end of June, Snetterton in early August, Thruxton again in mid-August and Knockhill in mid-September. VIP tickets are available from Ginetta for all these events at £85 per ticket which will see you getting entrance to the circuit, drinks, light refreshments and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday.
“We’re pleased to be able to support local talent like this,” says Stelrad’s HR Manager Lisa Chambers. “We have a good track record of supporting locally based teams and individuals needing help to pursue their sporting ambitions and we look forward to watching James rise through the ranks to Formula One before too long!”
