Stelrad Radiators – the leading radiator brand in the UK and Ireland, has agreed to be one of the headline sponsors for this year’s BSS Superhero Challenge – the follow up to last year’s BSS Car-Aoke challenge. It is expected that all drivers and co-drivers will dress as super heroes for the duration of the race! The challenge, organised by national merchant BSS, begins from Leicester on 11th September and makes its way down to St Tropez on the Mediterranean coast of France, before heading back to the UK – arriving on 15th September. There are around 30 cars – all valued at less than £1,500 – travelling through Europe – the UK and France – with a target to raise £100k for mental health charity Mind. The cars will be covering between 300-400 miles a day and the SAT NAV is banned! It’s a tough challenge for the teams entering!
1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year. Mind works to ensure anyone living with a mental health problem gets the advice and support they need, when they need it. Last year, Local Mind’s supported around 375,000 people in England and Wales. Sister charities SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) and Niamh (Northern Ireland Association of Mental Health) provide support in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Stelrad branding will feature on all 30 cars, on participants t-shirts and on the dedicated website https://bssrally.co.uk/ where you will also find details of the initiative’s Virgin Moneygiving page http://bit.ly/2N5UJay.
“We’re delighted to be involved again in this event that supports what is a hugely topical and relevant cause,” says Stelrad’s Head of Marketing, Chris Harvey. “We wish all the drivers and co-drivers the best of luck and minimum of breakdowns en route and we hope our contribution towards the target will inspire others to support this excellent cause.”
