Stelrad Radiators has been shortlisted in two categories of the prestigious HVR Awards 2021. HVR is one of the leading monthly magazines in the heating and ventilating sector in the UK and has been running its annual awards scheme for many years. Stelrad won the Community Spirit Award at the 2019 10th Anniversary HVR Awards at the Tower Hotel in London and hope to win another award at this year’s Virtual Awards on 7th October.
Back in 2019 Stelrad – one of three companies shortlisted – was recognised for its Local Support programme, primarily for its support of the local BlueBell Wood Children’s Hospice, but also for its support of Mexborough Rangers Football Club, to whom it gave its sports ground as a permanent base and donated football kits for all 7 teams for the club.
This time around Stelrad has been shortlisted for the Domestic Heating Product of the Year Award for its Boutique series of specialist bathroom and kitchen designer radiators and for the Commercial/Industrial Heating Product of the Year Award for its Heavy Duty Deco radiator.
The Boutique series brings together the company’s existing range of stylish towel rails and radiators and adds to it a number of new specialist designer radiator options – giving specifiers the widest range of options available in the UK marketplace for aesthetically attractive specialist radiators to enhance the décor in the bathroom and the kitchen primarily, but in other rooms as well including en-suites and cloakrooms.
The Heavy Duty Deco radiator has been added to its heavy duty series this year offering a more robust radiator with a 3.2mm combined thickness tough outer steel fascia to provide additional protection where it is used in an environment where contact is likely and there is a need to take a knock in its stride.
“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories this year,” says Head of Marketing Chris Harvey. “It’s always good to have your products recognised in award schemes and we now wait to find out if we can go one step better and come away with another award at the presentation event. It’s a real boost for morale for our team when they see us bringing home awards for what we do and after the combined effects of Brexit and Covid, it’s doubly pleasing to be in the running for awards.”
