Stelrad is delighted to have been asked to donate some of its award winning radiators to the latest ‘DIY SOS – the big build’ TV programme for a project taking place in late October 2023 in Harlow in Essex. The programme, presented by Nick Knowles and the DIY:SOS team takes on big builds in a limited timeframe and relies heavily on the goodwill of the local community of tradespeople and suppliers to help transform the lives of truly deserving projects and individuals. Stelrad has a track record of supporting charitable projects and has donated radiators to several of the worthy DIY:SOS projects over the years.
On this occasion, Stelrad is providing eight of its Compact radiators to this latest project which will transform a building currently in a poor state of repair for a local mental health charity into a warm and welcoming mental health and wellbeing hub where everyone in the local community can go for help, support and company when they most need it.
“We like to be supportive of these projects when we can,” says Head of Marketing at Stelrad Chris Harvey. “Mental health issues are far more widely recognised these days and this particular project is a highly topical one for most places across the country, with mental health issues for all age groups coming to the fore during the Covid pandemic and the NHS struggling to keep pace with the demands on its mental health facilities. We’re grateful for the opportunity to provide even a small amount of help towards this project and look forward to seeing the finished building in due course.”
