Leading radiator manufacturer Stelrad is celebrating its 80th birthday during 2016 – having started its life as Steel Radiators Limited back in 1936 operating from a purpose built factory in Southall in West London. Stelrad now operates from facilities in Nuth in the Netherlands and in Mexborough in the UK. Its South Yorkshire site handles the UK radiators business, coordinating an advanced production and distribution operation that spans a major 17 acre site. Stelrad produces more than 2 million radiators each year for the UK heating sector.
With extensive research and development facilities in Belgium, Stelrad is always looking to bring innovative products to market and extend its wide product range even further. Whether that is developing a spectacular designer radiator or adding efficiency to traditional panel radiators, Stelrad is innovative in every sense of the word.
Stelrad offers the widest range of steel panel radiator styles and sizes in the UK, and offers a comprehensive selection of designer products and towel warmers, plus the market leading Low Surface Temperature radiator range.
“It’s quite an achievement to be at the top of your game for eighty years,” says Stelrad’s Marketing Manager Chris Harvey. “Today’s Stelrad is a very different animal to the one that started its business back in the thirties, but many of the values we hold, to remain the same and we are proud of the quality of the products we produce, the availability of our products across the UK and the wide range of options we can offer the marketplace”.
“These are exciting times for the Stelrad brand which is widely recognised as the leading brand in the UK market. We’re delighted to be launching the company into its second eighty years in business, from the position of strength we find ourselves in today.”
