Leading radiator manufacturer – Stelrad Radiators – has been assessed for the Cyber Essentials certification as it makes serious attempts to protect itself from cyber attacks.
Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective Government backed scheme from the National Cyber Security Centre, that helps businesses to protect themselves, whatever size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks. Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes and going through the necessary assessments to achieve this level of certification confirms that the company is doing everything it can to protect itself from attacks on a daily basis.
“As with all businesses these days, we are heavily reliant on computer technology to operate successfully and we have to take every possible action to protect ourselves from cyber attacks,” says Stelrad’s IT Manager Mick Reynolds. “Gaining the Cyber Essentials certification under this scheme is additional to the other important defences we have in place to keep our computer networks up and running securely.”
Stelrad manufactures more than 2 million radiators a year at its Mexborough headquarters in South Yorkshire and supplies radiators through more than 2,000 plumbers and builders merchants across the UK.
