Stelrad is excited to announce that there are just two days left until the eagerly anticipated Grand Final of the HIP Female Skills Competition 2024! The event is set to take place on Thursday, 18th April, at Stephenson College in Coalville and Stelrad is a major supporter of the event.
The competition began in January with Level 2 and 3 plumbing learners competing in three regional locations across the UK. The judges faced a challenging task but ultimately narrowed down the impressive entries to six outstanding regional winners. This year, the finalists competing on Thursday for the title of HIP Female Skills Competition 2024 Winner are:
– Sharna Wringly-Sothcott, Yeovil College
– Sophie Maguire, City College Norwich
– Maizie Williams, St Helen’s College
– Ciah Hooch Llewellyn Davies, Gower College Swansea
– Daisy Turner, Barking & Dagenham College
– Megan Emerson, New College Durham
Zoe Tanner, Managing Director at HIP, commented: “This event is an essential stepping stone for empowering women, boosting their confidence to participate in mixed-gender competitions, and making significant contributions to the trade. We’re thrilled to see such widespread industry support.”
The competition is supported by prominent industry leaders, including Stelradand the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE). Jerry Whiteley, Technical Manager at the CIPHE, serves as the competition’s head judge.
