We’ve been manufacturing high quality, steel radiators since 1936, so it’s safe to say we know a thing or two about heating. Find out more about us and our ranges below
Stelrad Radiators was founded in 1936 manufacturing steel column radiators from a purpose-built factory in Southall, West London. Despite its impressive history, it pales into insignificance when you look closely at the company today and what it offers the UK heating sector. The company now operates from facilities in Nuth in the Netherlands and in Mexborough here in the UK. Our South Yorkshire Mexborough site handles our UK radiators business, coordinating an advanced production and distribution operation across an impressive 17-acre site.
With extensive research and development facilities in Belgium, Stelrad is always looking to bring innovative new products to market – such as our new electric series range – and to extend its wide product range even further. Whether that is developing a spectacular designer radiator or adding efficiency to traditional panel radiators, Stelrad is innovative in every sense of the word.
Stelrad prides itself in supplying the widest range of radiators of any manufacturer, with a solution for pretty much every home and commercial premises in the UK – from its best-selling and popular Compact and Elite series, to its premium panel ranges – offering a huge selection of designer and decorative radiators that are increasing in popularity both in new build developments and in replacement heating systems. Stelrad offers the largest range of low surface temperature (LST) radiators which come with a casing that is guaranteed to never reach a higher temperature than 43 degrees C – ideal for nurseries, schools, colleges and universities, for care and nursing homes, and for sheltered housing. Stelrad has a special applications range of radiators that includes heavy duty radiators for applications where the radiators may need better protection – for example in nursing homes where wheelchairs may come into contact with the radiator panels – or in commercial buildings where trolleys and the like are regularly passing the radiators. Compact Xtra Protection radiators have been designed for areas where there may be excessive moisture – in wet rooms and changing rooms for example. Stelrad has become a leading supplier of specialist bathroom and kitchen radiators – towel rail type units that are both aesthetically pleasing, dry the towels but equally provide the heat output required to keep the bathroom or kitchen concerned warm and cosy as well. And as well as the traditional ranges of radiators for wet heating systems, Stelrad now offers a range of electric radiators – both general radiators and towel rails that have taken off in the short period of time they have been available in the UK.
Innovation, quality and customer service are the key to Stelrad Limited’s business. It’s always been that way and its more important now than it’s ever been. It’s no huge shock that Stelrad is Britain’s number one radiator brand.
Part of the Stelrad Group plc, Stelrad Limited offers the widest range of steel panel radiator styles and sizes in the UK and it also provides You Tube support videos and training to back the quality range it offers the UK marketplace.
